What is osteopathy ?
An effective approach to well-being
Osteopathy views the body as an interconnected system where each part affects the whole. Our treatments focus on the root causes of your discomfort, taking into account physical, emotional, and lifestyle factors to provide holistic care that promotes long-term health. This is not a relaxing massage; it's an active session that stimulates nerves and muscles, helps with tension, injury recovery, and other issues!
An osteopath (DO) is a medical specialist who requires 6 years of intensive study (usually in Canada or Europe) focused on anatomy and what causes most pain and discomfort, from headaches to digestive issues, back pain, and persistent tendonitis .
It is designed for muscular, nerve, or bodily discomfort with the stated goal of correcting the problem. My therapy primarily consists of applying specific types of pressure to the body, not necessarily cracking, and especially avoiding applying pressure to the cervical or lumbar vertebrae , as this has proven dangerous in some cases.
Results-focused therapy
Osteopathy wasn't created solely to temporarily alleviate symptoms, but to help the body correct the problem. Through precise and gentle manipulations, the osteopath, acting as a biomechanist, detects the mechanism of injury and aims to realign your body's structure, improving its function and reducing pain. The exercises and advice provided help maintain the results and prevent future recurrence.
By addressing imbalances in the musculoskeletal system, we help your body return to its natural state of harmony, promoting overall health and well-being.
What does an osteopath do?
An osteopath uses physical manipulation to increase joint mobility, relieve muscle tension, and improve blood flow to the tissues. The goal of treatment is to improve the overall health of all body systems through manipulation and strengthening, in my case, avoiding "cracks" as much as possible.
It detects, treats, and prevents health problems through stretching and manipulation of the patient's muscles, joints, and connective tissues. The non-invasive techniques and treatments are based on a holistic view of the human body, where the importance of bodily structures working together is paramount. This includes organs, glands, bones, muscles, ligaments, along with the nervous and circulatory systems.
Osteopaths also offer advice on posture and exercises that aid in a faster recovery and prevent the recurrence of symptoms. Osteopaths tend to dedicate more time to the manual treatment of the patient than other therapists.
A typical osteopathic session involves a questionnaire and assessment procedure so the osteopath can determine what they believe to be the problem. Physical manipulation is used to reduce symptoms, which may be felt immediately or shortly thereafter. Counseling for prevention is also provided.

Conrad Rozycki, DO, MT.
Valuing a structural and myofascial approach, he seeks a mutual commitment to consistent results. Having worked for years in a hospital setting (neonatology, intensive care, and long-term care), he understands what this approach can offer in terms of positive outcomes compared to routine methods.
She first discovered osteopathy as a patient. When conventional methods had failed, she suddenly found her passion. She uses her understanding of acute and chronic pain as a conduit to her patients, which contributes to their motivation. Through communication and a discerning touch, she strives to guide the patient toward recovery.
Conrad has worked with young and old from diverse social backgrounds, relying on empathy to bridge the apparent divide. Increasing a patient's understanding of their own body's fluctuations is key to personalizing a treatment plan they can truly believe in. As they say, it takes two to tango.
Curious, attentive, sincere, and committed, he seeks to identify the patient's imbalance. Considering the rehabilitation of patients through manual therapy as a personal reward, he feels honored to be where he is today.
He speaks English, French, and practices his Spanish.
